Thankful: 2015

As 2015 comes to a close, these has been much to celebrate in our church. We have seen God move, we have seen our church grow both numerically and in relationship with God and each other, we have seen lives changed and the very culture of our church develop and grow.

We have a lot to be thankful for and here are some of the highlights:

Ten Year Anniversary

We had a big birthday this year, turning 10-years old. In September we got together with our Bathgate congragation, former church members that have moved away come back and leadership from Every Nation Europe for a time of worship and celebration. This past 10-years have been incredible and we heard how what our loving and gracious God is doing in our church plays into a bigger vision for Scotland and Europe as a whole.

Lives Have Been Changed

There has been a growing heart in our church to see our friends, families and communities touched, healed and given life through relationship with Jesus. People throughout our church are experiencing this desire and increasing doing something with it.

During Freshers week we ran a week of outreach on the Edinburgh University Campus - students and professionals alike came from our church to reach out, as did a team of ten from Grace Covenent Church in Washington D.C. During the day we talked with people and did God Tests with the people we met. There were amazing conversations, multiple people recieved Jesus for the first time, gaining full and abundant life. Then in the evenings we ran God Talks where we tackled the big questions about God, suffering, judgement and purpose. God moved powerfully and we can't wait to do it again.

People Set Free

Yet more of our church went through our freedom ministry, Life Of Freedom, and uncovered areas of their lives where God wanted to bring them freedom. The Holy Spirit showed them lies they'd been believing about God, themselves and others and then broke through with truth that healed them and brought a release of freedom and life.

Generous Hearts

In November we set out to raise £2500 for the Hetauda House safe home in Nepal, providing shelter, education and healing for women and children rescued from sex trafficking. We ended up raising over £2600! This is a generous church and this was a beautiful expression of the gracious loving heart of God!
